This summer my family and I took a vacation to the big apple, New York, New York!!! We had stayed at the Roosevelt Hotel, and did lots of sight seeing!!
Some of the highlights:
We went to American Girl Stores, the Apple superstore, ate a great meal at an Italian restaurant, and my favorite-- went to Times Square, the heart of New York. While there, we also saw a Broadway musical called Mary Poppins, if you decide to see a musical I suggest this Disney inspired Broadway original. I also saw Schwartz toy store, the best store to go to if you like big toys!! If you like a BIG CITY, great food and a good show, you should start booking a trip to New York, New York!!

Ride Along....
Going to work with my dad is not always what it seems to be. He can be in his office perfecting pictures of the Red Sox one day or 500 feet in the air in a jet plane with no door!! With my sister Kari in the pilot seat, my older sister Raquel across from me and I in a monkey harness looking at the pilot Mr. Sean D. Tucker with the Oracle Air Team do flips and turns in the sky. The sight was absolutely amazing!! Watch this video...

Ohio Youth Hunt....
This season was a season I will cherish and never forget. I went to Ohio with my father to hunt during the youth turkey hunt. We stayed and hunted at his friend's house Mr. Marlin Watkins turkey call maker. Waking up at 4:00 A.M. was worth it!! Climbing up the Appalachia Mountains was just breathtaking hearing gobbles here and there was truly amazing! For two days we hunted hard, but the turkeys were not making an appearance. Then one rainy morning, the last day of the hunt, while in a blind right before my tired eyes were two turkeys, they were in range so I clicked off the safety. The two turkeys stopped to look at our decoys; I found where the head meets the neck. Carefully aiming, I pulled the trigger slowly. BANG!! The turkey had dropped dead. When it was okay to go and see the turkey after giving my dad my gun, I ran over to pick him up and pull over where my father was ready to take pictures to remember this wonderful moment. Climbing all those mountains waking up at 4:00 A.M. and having a great time, was worth the 14 pound Jake that I was so proud off!!Bye for now..... Kristina
Guest Blog story...
Here's a guest blog entry from another great hunter in the family...My turkey hunt was great even it was my first one too! I was shaking like a leaf. When I shot my first turkey I was so afraid that I was going to miss. BOOM! You shot the turkey, said my dad. And it’s a longbeard, he told me! I was so scared if my dad was teasing me. I looked out and there he was my first turkey, on the ground. I saw that it was a long beard too! My turkey hunt was glorious. My hunts were the greatest days of my life!

Deer Hunt!!!
My sister, dad and I flew by plane to visit a friend of my father. When we arrived a ranch-hand was waiting for us at the airport to pick us up to go to the ranch. He was wearing a cool cowboy hat, boots, and a beautiful belt buckle. We were there to hunt deer—really big deer!! When we arrived at the Ranch, a large group of the cute dogs were there to greet us. We got ourselves situated, and ready for the next day’s hunt.Exited for the hunt to begin, I could not wait until my father’s friend had us climb in to his truck to go to the hunting grounds. We drove to a good spot, hopping to find good bucks! Our host hid us by a fence, and rattled two deer horns together, looking to attract some bucks to our hide. After some time, none came. So we traveled to another area of the ranch. And no sooner we stop to look through binoculars at a distant field we look to the side of where we had stopped, and there it was, lying in the grass, a HUGE buck!!!! He was really close, but he must have thought that we could not see him, since he stayed lying behind the grass. My heart racing as I took the .243 rifle my father handed me, and took aim. I heard whispers of ‘shoot for the neck.’ Because it was the only thing I could see.
I pulled the trigger slowly, then BANG! I missed; the deer had scrambled to its feet and ran away. Oh well I will have to do better next time. The rest of the day, we continued looking for a trophy deer, but they were hard to find.
The next day we did the same thing but this time we went to a totally different place. Then we saw a figure in the distance. A deer! My father’s friend said it was a trophy. I took the rifle, slowly aimed at his vitals and pulled the trigger BANG! I DID IT! I shot a deer! I was so happy! What a beautiful deer. His horns were so big. I could not wait to touch him.
